Because of the impact of the Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic, the Society was only able to hold one of its scheduled meetings in 2020. In all, four scheduled meetings, including the Society’s AGM, had to be postponed.
So far, the prospects for 2021 do not look a great deal better. The scheduled meeting on Tuesday 26th January has been postponed and it is still unclear whether, and if so when, it will be possible to resume Society meetings in the remainder of this year.
Speakers already booked for meetings in 2020 which had to be postponed have been contacted and there is every prospect of the Society being able to reschedule at least some of their talks once the holding of meetings in the Village Hall or elsewhere is again possible.
Also the Society’s 2020/2021 AGM will be held as soon as practicable, probably in conjunction with the first rescheduled meeting whenever that is.
